Order out without guessing
Log restaurant meals from published menu nutrition, and compare options before you order rather than reconstructing the damage afterwards.
What it does
NutrientOS carries restaurant menu items with their published nutrition, so eating out is a search rather than a guess. You can compare several menu items side by side on calories, protein, and the other numbers you care about before deciding.
Who it is useful for
- People who eat out often and find that restaurant days are the ones where tracking silently stops.
- Anyone ordering under a constraint a protein target, a sodium ceiling, or a calorie budget with a fixed menu in front of them.
- People who travel for work where the same chains recur and a reliable entry saves the same decision repeatedly.
What NutrientOS shows you
- Menu items with their published calories and macros.
- A side-by-side compare view for several items at once.
- Food Grade and satiety estimates computed from the published values.
- A request path for restaurants that are not covered yet.
Known limitations
- Published values are averages, not your plate. Preparation varies by location, by shift, and by how generous whoever assembled it was feeling. Restaurant portions are not weighed to specification.
- Menus change faster than any database. Reformulations, regional variants, and seasonal items all drift. Check the restaurant's own current figures when precision matters.
- Micronutrient data is usually thin. Published restaurant nutrition covers label-required nutrients and rarely more, so micronutrient coverage on restaurant days is genuinely sparse.
- Coverage is uneven. Large chains publish complete data; independent restaurants generally publish none, and NutrientOS will not invent it.
How missing data is handled
Nutrients the restaurant does not publish are shown as unknown. On a restaurant-heavy day this is visible in your micronutrient coverage, which is the honest result: the data is missing, not the nutrients.
How it connects to the rest of NutrientOS
Restaurant items log like any other food, receive the same Food Grade and satiety treatment, and count toward the same daily totals — so an eating-out day sits in the same history as everything else instead of becoming a gap.
Try it on your own food
NutrientOS runs in the browser and on iOS and Android. The free plan includes full manual tracking, Food Grade, satiety, and micronutrients.
